What if I need more quota than my plan allows?
You can turn on pay-as-you-go and pay for extra units, or move up a plan. If none of the defaults fit, reach out and we'll put together a custom one.
What happens if I exceed the quota?
If pay-as-you-go is on, extra units get billed at the overage rate. If it's off, the API returns an error until your next billing cycle. You can also upgrade or switch to a custom plan whenever.
How is quota used across different media types?
Quota is counted in units, where one unit is one message. Text costs 1 unit, audio costs 2, images cost 3. Video starts at 3 and goes up with length and the number of models you enable. You can mix media types however you want on the same plan.
Do you offer discounts for startups or non-profits?
Yes. Reach out to sales and we'll figure something out.
I don't see a plan that fits my needs exactly

Can I moderate other things than messages?
Yes — reviews, comments, bios, product descriptions, images, video. If users can post it, you can send it through the API.
Who is Moderation API for?
Online communities, dating apps, games (both kid-friendly and adult), marketplaces, social platforms, regulated CPaaS. Anywhere users post content and someone has to keep an eye on it.
What are custom models?
Models you train on your own data. If the default models don't catch what you care about, a custom model usually will.
How do I train a custom model?
You need examples of the thing you're trying to detect. Upload a CSV or Excel file, or label examples directly in the dashboard. 100 per label is a good starting point, but you can start smaller and keep adding as you go.
Are there discounts at larger volumes?
Yes. Custom plans at higher volumes usually come with a discount, depending on which features you use and what kind of content you're sending.
